Product Description
From Star Trek: Discovery comes all new Starfleet Federation insignia badges brought to you exclusively by QMx. The American television series is set a decade before the original Star Trek series. Discovery’s badges feature a unique split-delta design, with brushed metal on the raised portion and a glossy finish on the opposite side. The silver-tone science insignia features a oval crossed by an oval — both of them rounder than before. As with all of our Starfleet Division badges, the ones for Discovery are exact replicas of the uniform insignia from TV series, with each design taken directly from the screen-used hero prop. What sets these wearable badges apart from the original is the clasp, which uses strong, short-field magnets that are embedded in each badge itself and in a glossy backplate. No more pinholes in delicate fabric. They can even be worn on leather and suede. All four Star Trek: Discovery magnetic insignia badges are available separately: Command, Science, Operations and Medical.

You may look at this and see a costume piece, a trinket, or sci-fi nerd bait…fair. I see it as art. It’s a well crafted metal piece with a metal plate backing. There are two strong magnets that I can’t ever see loosing their strength. The only thing I have found of fault is that it is heavy and tends to pull down when worn on lighter weight fabric such as cotton tee shirts. The width of perfect, contrary to some other reviews, at times I wondered if we were reviewing the same product. I highly recommend this badge if you’re in the market for a Start Trek insignia.

Wow ordered on a Saturday got it o. A tues. And that was Non expedited service. So order processing and delivery were awsome. And it will come USPS (THE POST MAN) /not ups not same thing. Package not heavy enough and its coming out of new Hampshire at least mine did. Light weight, two snapmagnets on the back for up to medium material like uniform cloth. Brushed finish on raised side of badge and polished on lower side. BUT NO RANK PIPS. THOS BADGE WOULD BE VERY AUTHENTIC IF HAD THOSE BUT IT DOES NOT. other wise for collectors purpose or cosplay what have you it works for the price.

I love this thing! I actually use one as a capacitive switch for a home made box to hold all my Trek gear. The other I will use for my uniform.

This magnet badge is super high quality and a good buy for the money. I use it on most of my polo shirts, cosplay uniforms, etc, and it’s shiny, heavy and just looks great. Doesn’t fall off, and again, did I mention tha it’s super high quality? Well worth the buy.

I love how the magnet style makes it sit perfectly flush to the uniform. And won’t leave permanent marks, the way that a pin would. It can also be easily adjusted to the ideal spot while wearing, but it will not move on it’s own. The magnet is very strong. I might need to wear a tank top underneath, to keep the inner plate off of my skin, but that’s fine. It’s got some weight to it, in a good way. It feels solid and significant. I just wish I could have found one in the Command division. If I see one later, I’m getting one! Magnet style has all the advantages. I wanna collect them all.

Easy to wear, stay on really well. Easy to take off, but don’t fall off easily. We love wearing them.

Got it for him as a Christmas stocking gift. He wears it all the time now.

I love the quality of this combadge; it’s sleek and stays on well and feels heavy and durable. One point of contention though is it’s not fully accurate to any Star Trek. It’s advertised as being from Discovery but lacks the rank pips that Disco had directly on the badge. It’s not really Strange New Worlds either because of the vertical line 2/3 the way across the badge, which SNW doesn’t have but Disco does.
