This is a decent shirt for the price. It’s not an exact replica, for one, the embroidered emblem is about half the size as it should be. I’m 6 foot and 185 lbs, I ended up getting a large – the cut of the shirt is a bit tight in the underarms, but fits fine everywhere else well enough. It is form fitting with very little stretch to the fabric, so if you have a Kirk gut, prepare for everyone else to know it too. If you’re a bit hefty in size, it’s not going to fit. The arm length is fine for me, but those with shorter arms might find the sleeves dangling a bit. It appears this shirt is made for someone tall and skinny with no armpits. For the price, the shirt is decent. Unfortunately, there’s not much choice for Trek costumes, and short of making one, this one will do. I wish the embroidered emblem wasn’t so small and the material was made of stretchier stuff (or the armpit area was cut to a size for a normal human being.) But think of it this way, you can be the first red shirt to die from his uniform that’s causing a lack of blood circulation to his arms rather than death by a malevolent alien creature.

Well if you are a big star trek fan like myself and looking to get the red sweater then look no further. I actually bought a size small a year ago but I didn’t realize that it was made from polyester which didn’t have much stretch in it. Usually I wear size small but when I got that top it was really tight around my chest and back area. Although it looked good and I could get away with it, I would have preferred a top with more room or stretch. But my birthday is August 28th and I decided to treat myself again but a size Medium which fits great. I should have bought the new movie one as well but maybe I’ll wait as Christmas is coming. Overall a great sweater for trekkies or just a fashionista. I wear it causally with black trousers and it looks cool and hip. Love it can’t wait to get another from the new movie.

Ok… so not bad, but certainly not the best quality out there, although for the price- who’s really going to complain too much.Bad things: Size – So I normally wear a L, but sometimes shirts can be a little tight, so occasionally I get an XL, which is what I did in this case. However, the XL was tight, especially around the mid-section that is not much bigger than my chest. I would say I have an average build (5’10, 210lbs with a bit of a belly but my waist is actually a 34). Collar- The Collar does not fit like it shows in the picture. With the XL I got, the collar actually fits more like the new movie shirts, rather than the classic series. Color/Design – Color is good, but be sure you follow the instructions and hand-wash cold. Even doing that, I noticed some of the color washed out. Poor dye job. Also, Hang dry.. I wouldn’t trust putting these in the dryer. So, if you’re looking for that one-time shirt for a costume party and don’t want to pay alot of money, this is not a bad item, just order at least 1 size larger than you wear, and don’t expect it to be perfect.

Decent quality. The fabric isn’t very stretchy. Not uncommon for costumes so no complaints there. As a bigger guy (lets say girthy), it was a little snug but as I say in the title, it did the job. If you are in shape, should fit fine. It looks good as long as you don’t obsess over the details. I highly doubt it would hold up to convention scrutiny so if you want really authentic you should look elsewhere. As other review stated the neck is weirdly big/open so be sure to have a black undershirt ready… something that won’t show seams thru the shirt. An Under Armour type shirt worked well.I’d probably go for a 3-1/2 rating if I could.

I really liked this Star Trek shirt as a costume. It seems pretty sturdy, too. I researched the sizing by the opinions of others who had bought it, and they recommended that you buy one size up. I totally agree. I have lost a lot of weight, recently, and now wear an L shirt. I still have a lot of XL, and while L is still a little form fitting, let’s just say, it does not wear on me like a baby doll t-shirt. The XL that I bought for this shirt is a little snug, but fits. So, go up a size, for the fit.

Is it good quality? No.Is it authentic? No.Will it look like I’m wearing PJ’s at comic con? Yes.Do I care? Not in the least.Comfortable, and VERY form fitting… In other words, purchase at least one size up.Nice to use as a base model for cosplay uniform.

Shirt runs a tad small and has very little stretch BUT is very vivid and colorful red plus, in my opinion, is a very good value for the price. It is not a wear once and discard garment, it is rugged enough for many repeated uses. BL: I’m happy with this purchase!

It was received with a tear at the seam on the neck. Fixed it instead of exchanging. Other than that it’s great.
